Self Sufficient Academy
Nuevo Sendero – Sembrando Esperanza Self-Sufficiency Academy
Nuevo Sendero successfully completed the program: “Sembrando Esperanza Self-Sufficiency Academy”, a flagship program designed to empower survivors of domestic and sexual violence through education, economic independence, and personal development growth. The graduation ceremony was held at Florida Technical College in Orlando and marked the successful completion of the program by ten women survivors.
The Academy provides a structured, trauma-informed curriculum focused on entrepreneurship, self-sufficiency, leadership development, finance, marketing communications, and emotional healing. Participants receive comprehensive training aimed at strengthening self-esteem, enhancing economic stability, and equipping them with practical tools to rebuild their lives, start their small business and pursue sustainable futures free from violence.
Upon completion of the Academy, each graduate received a certificate of completion and a $2,500 seed investment to support the development or expansion of her entrepreneurial project. This financial assistance directly addresses economic barriers frequently faced by survivors and reinforces the program’s goal of long-term financial independence supported by Esperanza United.
